General
What are your hours of operation?
Ford of Kirkland's sales department is open from 9am to 8pm Monday through Saturday, and 10am to 7pm on Sunday. Our service department is open from 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 4:30pm on Saturday. Our parts department is open from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 4pm on Saturday.
Which Ford model is best for me?
Excellent question. Make, model, price, mileage, new or pre-owned; all of these factors are determined by your needs. A reliable F-150 work truck is a much different thing than the family Explorer suitable for errands and road trips. Ford of Kirkland prides itself on finding the perfect car for you. Visit our model showroom to view our entire collection of cars, trucks and SUVs.
Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
All new Ford vehicles come with a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, roadside assistance is offered to cover defective parts.
When purchasing a Ford certified pre-owned vehicle, we offer two separate warranty levels, Gold and Blue, depending on the age of the vehicle. The Gold package is for newer Fords (under 6 years/80,000 miles) and offers a 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive warranty. The Blue package covers any Ford up to 10 years old with fewer than 150,000 miles. Its warranty covers for 90-days and 4,000 miles.
Is maintenance included with my vehicle purchase?
Unfortunately, new Ford vehicles do not come with complimentary maintenance, though our extensive warranty package covers any issues arising from manufacturing defects.
May I take a test drive?
Absolutely! Contact us today to make an appointment.
Can I trade in my existing vehicle?
Yes indeed. Ford of Kirkland happily accepts trade-ins to help reduce your bottom line and boost our inventory. Find out what your current car is worth.
Sales
How do I buy a car?
New or pre-owned, two options exist when purchasing a vehicle:
Buying a car outright means paying the entire cost of the vehicle at the time of purchase “in cash” (though most use a check).
Financing your new ride entails receiving a loan from Ford of Kirkland's financing department or other institution (bank, credit union) to pay the cost of the car. You then pay back the loan at an agreed upon annual percentage rate (APR) until the loan is paid and the vehicle is officially yours.
Finally, Ford offers their Flex Buy program, which offers lower monthly payments for the first 36 months, providing flexibility without the restrictions of a lease.
Ford of Kirkland's huge inventory means we have the perfect vehicle for you. Choose from our new inventory or our used inventory.
What about leasing?
A car lease represents an agreement between you and Ford of Kirkland that allows you to drive one of our vehicles for a certain amount of time and mileage. Like financing a car, you make monthly payments during this agreement, but with a couple of key differences:
Your monthly payments are generally lower than when financing a vehicle, which means you will most likely be able to afford a newer or more expensive car, though only new cars are available to lease. At the end of the lease, you can easily replace it with a new vehicle.
While it may seem like it while driving, the leased vehicle is never truly yours. You must adhere to time and mileage limitations, and be careful to avoid charges for excess wear and tear, though Ford of Kirkland offers coverage for the latter.
How much money is due at signing?
That really depends. The basic rule of thumb is this: the more money paid in advance, the less the monthly payment will be. Ford of Kirkland's experienced sales and financing staff ask you how much you wish to pay per month and work with you from there. Visit our finance center.
What documents are required to purchase a vehicle?
When you arrive at Ford of Kirkland to purchase or lease a vehicle, you should bring with you the following documents:
Driver's license
Proof of current insurance
Registration or title of your trade vehicle (if applicable)
Proof of income
Is the vehicle I found on your website available?
Very rarely a car pictured on our website has been sold by the time you reach the lot. However, our extensive inventory means that Ford of Kirkland will have an identical or very similar make and model.
What is the total price of the vehicle (taxes and fees included)?
This of course depends on the year, make and model you choose, but at Ford of Kirkland, we pride ourselves on providing customers with completely transparent pricing. This means a detailed proposal outlining selling price, trade value, taxes, fees, rebates, money due at signing and monthly payment amounts. Contact our sales team to get started.

How much will my service cost?
In the case of warrantied parts and service, you need not worry on that front. All other pricing is up front. You will never encounter hidden service fees at Ford of Kirkland.
Is my vehicle ready?
Our service department will set up completion notifications to any device you wish. Ford of Kirkland can send you messages via email, phone or text to let you know when your vehicle is ready to go.
Are there any recalls on my vehicle?
You can easily find any and all recalls on your vehicle by visiting nhtsa.gov/recalls. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offers an extensive database of all recalls, searchable by state license plate, VIN number, or year, make and model. Additionally, Ford of Kirkland's service scheduler is able to identify any pending recalls with your VIN (vehicle identification number).
Can you recommend parts if I prefer to make repairs on my own?
Yes indeed. Ford of Kirkland's service department is happy to recommend specific parts for all jobs, big and small, and our parts department will work with you to ensure you get the parts you need. If you already know the parts you need, you can order them here.
