The Woodward Dream Cruise is a Michigan tradition, and has been since it was first held in 1995. A lot has changed since then for the automotive industry in general, and Ford, specifically. What has not changed, however is the spirit of the cruise – it is the largest single-day classic car event in the world, helping support the Michigan economy and celebrating car-culture. It is a day when car-enthusiasts can come together for coffee, conversation, and a good time.

Ford Powers the World’s Heaviest Parade Float

The world’s longest and heaviest parade float comes out to 125 feet long and more than 137,000 pounds. The Lucy Pet Products 2017 Rose Parade float is powered by Ford’s legendary 6.8-liter V10 engine and heavyweight TorqShift six-speed automatic transmission found in the American car company’s F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks. It features eight dogs riding the waves produced by a one-of-a-kind mobile wave machine in a 5,000-gallon water tank.
